A lot of people I know like Obama. I beg to differ, I'm not one of them - well I was, till I realized he was just another politician. I do admire his charisma though - such a good orator. But the content of some of his speeches don't sway me at all.
My observation today is that a lot of us are just being corny, struggling to do what others are doing. So we have a lot of clichés around. Only few people think outside the box. Just a handful set the pace for others to follow. Such people are the Alphas, even if they don't know it yet. Quick question: Alpha or Omega - which are you?
As I look at the above image, I imagine Tyler Perry using his deep voice to plead with Gabrielle Union in pidgin with a thick Igbo accent like, "Omalicha'm, biko no mind all those mumu-mumu men way dey do anyhow. When dem mama bin dey push dem komot from belle she forgate push plus their bren. Na why their skull still empty till today - no bren inside! So abeg no vex eh? On behalf of all men, I say sorreh. Not all of us are the sem. Ahah brown sugar, you no sabi your man again?..."
Are Africans truly free? We may not have physical shackles on our hands and legs but what about the invisible shackles - the shackles of the mind? Who is the mother of your worldly thoughts, views, and believes? What defines you as a person and where is its origin? If our culture is our identity and we look down on it, then who are we?
Are you as ambitious as I am?... With all that is going on in the world and in my dear country, I strongly want to be part of the equation that'll solve most of our problems. And for that to happen, I profoundly believe I need to be the greatest human being I can possibly be because the world doesn't need another cliché of a leader; the world needs a hero. I wanna be he. Change begins with me? Mr. President, what is thaaaaat? I know you need to "change" strategy, but abeg, find one that won't be a slap to the face of the Nigerian populace... Look at the above image - I found that online and that means I'm not the only one amazed by the new motto in town.

In fact, it has degenerated to the point where we barely support candidates, but parties - crude mentality... Can you guess how I got the above picture? Easy! I just searched for "Objectification of women in music videos", and voila! All sorts of images popped up. In fact, I had to be careful to select the most decent thing I could find because all the results were just straight-up filth.
I wrote this a while ago after I was pretty pissed-off by someone... I remember how upset and infuriated I was. Like the Hulk reincarnated in me... Green fumes clouded the room... Fumes of rage... Haha!
Who has been burned by a woman before? Anybody? No? Well, I have and I can assure you it's not a pretty feeling. You know, sometimes I can swear the words that escape an angry woman's lips are escorted by a thick cloud of smoke because of the heat; especially when it has to do with trust. That not withstanding, one thing I realized is that at the end of the day, many of them mean well... Here's one observation I made:
If this were a classroom and I, the teacher, and I ask the class, "Who wants to be wise?" I bet all hands will be floating in the air in an instant. But if you knew what it takes to be wise, will half of those hands still be in the air?... I guess not.
I observed that so many of us young people want to be this and that, we want to be like this person or that person. But our ambition overwhelms our minds so much so we barely figure out and stick to the right way in getting where we're headed. In other words, we lose FOCUS of the right path to follow... Well, what are you waiting for? Dive into my thoughts, will you?
Good memories are so sweet and that's why if they're better than the present, thinking about them can become painful because we can't have them back.
I actually wrote this a while ago, but sadly it still applies even now. Watching the operation of this country is so upsetting and that's why this is probably one of the most abrasive pieces I've ever written, but whatever...
Why do so many ladies put on the revealing clothes they wear today? On a real, sometimes I can't believe my eyes when I see what some women have on, especially to church. And it's pretty ironic how naive some of them are to think they'll actually attract good guys by dressing almost half-naked. I've pondered on this and here are my thoughts:
We all are going through one problem or the other. And our situations sometimes make life feel like a heavy burden. But it's okay. God got you. No matter how long the raging storm may endure, the sun must surely rise and shine again. I've heard a lot of people say if their partners love them, they won't bother about knowing things that happened in the past. And I've observed that most at times, people who say such things have done some stuff they're ashamed of and want to look for a reason to avoid talking about their past experiences... I thought about it and this is what I came up with:
Watch the News and you will find that a lot of people around the globe are going through grave ordeals. And I wondered if it's possible to overcome the overwhelming pain that comes with such predicaments, and if it is, why then do many of us find it so hard to move past the anguish we have endured for so long? This is what I think:
For all you love birds out there, God gave you a brain for a reason. Think and use your initiative to make your partner feel special. They don't need to always tell you all you need to do. Doing some little things without being told makes the gestures even more special and they won't seem like little things anymore because of the immense impact such actions will have. My thoughts:

We lot never seem to be contented with what we have. We are blessed with so much in our lives, but because we steady compare ourselves to others, and because of pride and greed, we barely ever seem to recognize our blessings.
