ALPHA OR OMEGA?


My observation today is that a lot of us are just being corny, struggling to do what others are doing. So we have a lot of clichés around. Only few people think outside the box. Just a handful set the pace for others to follow. Such people are the Alphas, even if they don't know it yet. Quick question: Alpha or Omega - which are you?

As I look at the above image, I imagine Tyler Perry using his deep voice to plead with Gabrielle Union in pidgin with a thick Igbo accent like, "Omalicha'm, biko no mind all those mumu-mumu men way dey do anyhow. When dem mama bin dey push dem komot from belle she forgate push plus their bren. Na why their skull still empty till today - no bren inside! So abeg no vex eh? On behalf of all men, I say sorreh. Not all of us are the sem. Ahah brown sugar, you no sabi your man again?..."

Are Africans truly free? We may not have physical shackles on our hands and legs but what about the invisible shackles - the shackles of the mind? Who is the mother of your worldly thoughts, views, and believes? What defines you as a person and where is its origin? If our culture is our identity and we look down on it, then who are we?
