Sometimes you pull out your wings just so you can condescend to the level of people obviously beneath you in virtually every sphere of life, but they don't see it from that perspective. Instead, they choose to bask in the delusion that they acquired eagle wings and soared to your level... Sometimes you stoop so low for people who will in turn repay you in the hard currency of regrets. But get this: the more you regret, the more pained you get. Thus, don't dwell too
much in the events of the past. Don't wish to go back in time to undo all the good you bestowed upon such unworthy persons. And most importantly, don't change your good nature on account of the bad
nature of others. It's helpful to remember that we wrong God everyday, even though His only offense is loving us profoundly without limits. And even at that, He never ceases to forgive us, giving us unending second chances, regardless of the nature of our sins. I believe If we think this way, it'll be easier to forgive and let go of the injustices done to us by thoughtless ungrateful cynics.
It's good to be humble and noble. It's plausible to be honourable and simple. You also can't be too young to have integrity. And it's Christ-like to be thoughtful, selfless and benevolent. These are all virtues worthy of admiration and emulation. But when you're being who you are, don't ever expect the same measure of lushness, kindness, sympathy, and empathy in return. For if you do, you may end up gravely disappointed and tempted to change your beautiful scintillating nature because of people who aren't even worth an eye contact with you.
To reiterate, be good, be humble, always and regardless! But do it as unto God and not unto man. God will reward you for your efforts even when man spits on your nobility. And if those who have taken you for granted deserve to be punished, remember: vengeance is for the Lord! Don't take matters into your hands, lest you sully yourself, spoil your good reputation, and condemn all your past efforts. Your only job is to let go and move on with grace. As for the rest, leave all to God! In His time, He'll rise and fight for you!
